Italy, that country that sticks out into the Mediterranean Sea like the giant foot of Europe is one of the most popular travel destinations in the world. The primary language of Italy is Italian, although several other languages are commonly spoken, mostly in the Northern border regions. Italy is a Republic, and a member of NATO, and has long been a gracious host to millions of travelers from virtually all corners of the World.
